There’s more big news in the Android world tonight. Steve Kondik, otherwise known as Cyanogen of the popular CyanogenMod ROM, has joined Samsung Mobile as a Software Engineer.

According to his Facebook account, Kondik will use his position at Samsung to make “Android more awesome.” And he also confirmed CyanogenMod will not disappear, it’ll become a side project. [Facebook via Gadget University and Phandroid]
