Electric Lightcycles, FCP X Concessions, and Other Stories We Didn't Post

So much news passes before our collective eyes every day that we couldn't possibly cover it all. Mostly because much of it isn't worth covering! But here are a some borderline tidbits we passed on, just in case.

The Tron Lightcycle Goes Green

So the guys who built the Tron lightcycle in real life a while ago? They're back with a battery-powered version, which I guess is somehow more Tron, except I don't think the lightcycles in the movie were powered by much more than imagination. The certainly turned more sharply than this big honkin glowy bicicleta, which does't round corners so much as oafishly sneak up on them. [Technabob]

Hundreds of Batteries, Disappointing Sparks

Are there explosions in this video? Yes, okay, there are, but they are not of the mega boomtime variety. And they take forever and a day to get to. So if you want to watch a bunch of batteries make a a little glowing light do by all means go ahead, but my goodness don't say you weren't warned about the cost-benefit analysis here. [Book of Joe]
