Yeah, it’s foul, nonsensical, arrhythmic, and kinda aggressive, but damnit if it’s not catchy. I first heard this after a night of Xmas-themed sketch comedy and I’ve loved it ever since. And really, he makes some good points.
Here’s why I like this song: it’s pro-Christmas while sounding like it’s anti-Christmas. By the time December 25th rolls around I’ve heard so many cheery, interchangeable Christmas songs that I want to stuff a hand-grenade in my stocking and lie down on it, and while I’m an agnostic quasi-Jew/quasi-Buddhist, I actually like Christmas. I see this song as a way of saying, “I’m down with Christmas” but screw all the goody-goody bullshit. Yes.
CRUDBUMP is a cartoonist and a dirty, dirty rapper. He’s got an album called NA$TYJAM$, that features songs such as, “My Dick’s On The Phone,” “I Don’t Do Shit,” and “Girl Take Your Socks Off”. Nice.
