Zippo has always accepted larger custom corporate orders, but recently they’ve introduced a new flash-based online tool that lets you customize an individual lighter, for those who don’t need hundreds with a photo of their cat on it.
You start by choosing the Zippo’s finish—brushed, painted, or chrome—and you then have the option of customizing the background color, uploading photos, or adding your own text.
The customized lighters start at around $15 if you’re content with a single color and text, but you’ll have to double that if you want to use your own image. And if you do, you’ll want to be careful since I suspect they’re going to be on the lookout for copyrighted material. [Zippo via Wired]
