Ahead of tomorrow’s Nokia event at which we’ll presumably see a new batch of Windows Phone 8 handsets, Nokia is bringing its Nokia Music streaming service free—and ad-free—to Lumia phones in the US. If you already own a Lumia 900 or Lumia 710 phone you can go download the Nokia Music app, which gives you access to a payload of “millions” of songs.

Nokia Music is playlist based: You’ve got the choice of listening to 150 curated playlists or generating your own list based on an artist you like. In other words its Pandora without the ads. You’ll also be able to cache the playlists on your phone for offline playback. Unlike the similar services offered by Samsung and Sony, Nokia Music won’t cost you a dime. Not a bad deal, and certainly a reason to consider switching. [MarketWire]
