This is Muhammad Shahid Nazir aka One Pound Fish Man, as many people call him. You probably don't know about him, but he's huge in the United Kingdom already—a YouTube sensation that is quickly racking up views and becoming a freaky internet sensation, much like Trololo Man.
Nazir works selling fish at the Queens Market in Upton Park, London. One day, he started to sing the song you can hear in the video above. "Come on ladies, come on ladies; one pound fish. Have-a, have-a look, one pound fish. Very, very good, very, very cheap, one pound fish," he said and ladies came and bought the fish.
Someone filmed him in action and the video went viral. He became so popular that a music producer got him a contract. Soon after that, he got a real music video on YouTube, a dance mix of his song became a success in iTunes, and everyone was talking about him in England.
After watching it, I've to admit that I have been singing "one pound fish" all day, thinking about pushing a screwdriver down my eye socket because I can't get it out of my mind. [The Guardian]
