It might not seem like it to the naked eye, but a tuning forks have a pretty serious vibratory freak-out when they do their thing. The Slow Mo Guys have turned their Phantom Flex on one to show off those good vibrations in all their minute glory.

It doesn’t look like much at normal speed, but the 1600 FPS breakdown shows how it really drills down into the glass of water like some sort of little musical jackhammer. Sure, it’s no bucket of fire, but it’s mesmerizing in its own right. But maybe dipping the next tuning fork into some flaming gasoline would be fun though, yeah? [The Slow-Mo Guys]
