Bedroom Hymns was in an early preview of The Great Gatsby before the real soundtrack was released. It was sort of a reference to the fact that Florence and the Machine would have “Over the Love” on the soundtrack when it eventually came out. But ever since that trailer, “Bedroom Hymns” has been stuck in my head. Based on the clip of the song in the movie preview I thought one of the lyrics was “This is his party/” fitting perfectly with the whole Gatsby theme. The lyric is in fact, “This is his body/” because the song is about Jesus and I am an idiot. But there you have it.
