Just to be clear, lots of things on the iPhone would be surprising. An app that streams a videofeed of me fucking my cat would be, to say the least, surprising.
So let's not solely interpret "surprising" as desired. For my money, it's just a picture of the Thunderbird logo donkey-punching the Apple logo. #mozillaiphoneapp
@OMG! Ponies!: Come on Ponies, anyone who's seen you comment for any appreciable length of time knows that wouldn't be a surprising thing to come from you. #mozillaiphoneapp
@OMG! Ponies!: I'm more surprised that your described app hasn't been released/approved yet. How long will it stay in limbo? I heard that you used a similar camera graphic as Apple, please change that and re-submit.
Nobody's expecting Firefox now, because they're expecting to be surprised, and FF is just too obvious. so now that everyone's ruled out FF from their list of possibilities, it'll surprise them! #mozillaiphoneapp
I just closed a notification from firefox saying that the .NET framework was a problem and that it had been disabled. I thought firefox was just full of crap, but hey oh, turns out it's actually microsoft. #security
Just have the browsers presented in a circle. Better yet, a circle that rotates, so any future complaints about Firefox not getting a dominant position on the circle can be hushed before they're spoken. #browserballot
What a whiny bitch. If people want firefox for its features and ease of use, they will click on it. If they want IE because they don't know any better, they will click on it. If they want adherence to web standards, or are lazy, they will click on safari. If they want a browser that guests won't use cause they have never heard of it and don't know its a browser, they will pick opera. Plain and simple. #browserballot
Since Opera started all of this I would guess the only reason we haven't heard anything from them yet is because they are still drafting up a response.
This is absolutely ridiculous. It's bad enough that MS is being forced to do it in the first place, but now they even have to put themselves further down the list?
If Opera and onecorewonderZilla keep this up maybe the EU will can the idea all together.
Personally I think MS should have just stuck with the "no browser" option and send IE cd's to stores like they were going to do. Make Mozilla, Apple, and Opera do the same. Case close. #browserballot
I love FF (keywords + xmarks FTW), but seriously Boriss wouldn't be bitching if Firefox were first in the list.
Just seems a tad hypocritical. #browserballot
@The Lab: If someone paid me enough, I'd say that "X" Corp.'s products are better than Jesus and Unicorns combined, and anyone who says otherwise is a slanderizin' sonofabitch. #browserballot
@medrick: Actually, the .net framework was not optional for me. I never authorized it, yet there it is, installed without any obvious way to uninstall it. #security
@medrick: Windows Vista's Windows Update settings by default run the updates and include recommended updates as well as critical. So it's likely it was slipped in on a lot of peoples' updates without their knowledge. #security
@medrick: Nope, not an "optional" download at all. It installs automatically as part of .NET Framework 3.5 SP1. I've had to remove it after-the-fact from 2 computers now. #security
@thegreatpablo: So you left your computer automatically downloading and installing things on it's own. Yes.. that's their fault that they are following your settings. #security

Saying they "slipped" it in is a misnomer, it was an optional download. Automatic updates only automatically install bugfixes etc.
Also, your "link" to uninstall the .net framework is actually a patch to the addon.
