TV in the ‘80s and ‘90s was notorious for being nothing more than a thinly-veiled commercial for something else, and it’s impossible to describe Viper, a show centered around a crime-fighting version of the Dodge sports car, as anything but that. It was even backed by Chrysler itself, and while 17-year-old me knew he was watching terrible ‘Big Three‘ propaganda, the cheesy effects of the stock Viper RT/10 transforming and morphing into an armored urban assault vehicle were impossible for the teenage me to resist every week.
