Pretty in Pink – April 10, 2022

International Space Station astronauts caught the peculiar coloration of this body of water in Torrevieja, Spain in a photo taken on June 7, 2021. Dunaliella salina is a bacteria that thrives in salty environments, and is also rich in beta-carotene, which is a colorful compound found in several vegetables.
