Four gigabyte Microdrives, mini-hard drives that can fit into the CompactFlash card slot of a PDA or digital camera, are due from Hitachi later this year. Jason Dunn of PocketPCThoughts thinks it’s too little, too late, and that the future of storage on mobile devices is going to be with solid-state memory.
