Everyone eventually trades up from the AIM app to IM+ or BeeJive or Meebo, but the free AIM app for the iPad actually looks decent.
It looks like it has Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and Twitter “support”, as in it shows updates from those services in the “Lifestream” view. Having one app that does both IM and Twitter makes sense though, but just make sure you’re typing your private messages in the right place. [iTunes]
