Pax is the latest portable model out from the San Francisco-based vaporizer company Ploom.

A conduction-style vape that fits in the palm of your hand, Pax ($249) was designed with all the concerns of smoke connoisseur in mind: three variable heat settings; a motion-sensing shut-off feature to put it to sleep when you set the Pax down; an LED indicator light that displays heat status, temperature setting, battery life.

The Pax is ready to go in as little as 30 seconds, always heating but never burning your "tobacco product," like a good vape should.

Bonus: To the untrained eye, its anodized aluminum exterior and diminutive dimensions (4 1/8 " x 1.4" x 7/8") make the Pax look almost like an earlier-generation iPod nano, so you can be stealthy while you smoke.

These need to be priced much, much lower as I'd imagine a huge part of their success would be ability to ditch when necessary. If you can get an Extreme Q for just over 100 these things should be coming in around 30 - 50 bucks.
