Apple is apparently holding a separate iPhone event in China on September 11th, immediately after the US announcement on the 1oth.

Those who enjoy reading in to such news might suggest that it’s further evidence that the long-fabled “budget iPhone” is indeed on its way. Either that, or there’s a dawning realisation that China is one big-ass market for Apple.
But given the insistence of the rumor mill, it seems likely that the cheaper handset—the iPhone 5C, if you will—could be just round the corner. Not long until we find out! [Sina Tech]
