Aging Company Provides Aging Technology for Aging Users

Illustration for article titled Aging Company Provides Aging Technology for Aging Users

We couldn't think of a better marriage between an elderly company providing something for the elderly than these digital to analog converters from RCA. If your grandma doesn't care for replacing her 30-year-old analog set with something capable of receiving digital broadcasts, this DTA800 will be able to receive digital over-the-air (OTA) and translate it to analog. Useful when analog shuts down in 2009.

The DTA800 also receives OTA HD broadcasts as well as SD broadcasts, which is kind of strange seeing as the average consumer who buys this doesn't have the eye strength to discern one from the other anyway.

DISCUSSION

I absolutely love my Flat screen SD TV. I got it about 4 years ago and it still has a beautiful screen so why should I just throw it out in 2 years? Besides, the freaking thing weighs like 600 pounds and I don't even know what to do with it when it does die.

Jason could have at least found out the price for these analog converters for us. How about some real reporting skill there Jason?
