This show will never die! Never! AH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

On the red carpet press line for the premiere of the final season of True Blood, show creator Alan Ball revealed that he has big plans for these horny vampire friends. Singing plans!

Ball told The AP that he has been working with show composer Nathan Barr on a musical and he's already pitched it to HBO. And of course, they loved it because it involves pretty people with fangs taking their tops off. Actually, that's a good question, will the musical have nakeds in it? I assume yes, right? I mean it has to, or it's just Vampire Musical, not True Blood.

The show will revolve around the exact same characters, with its focus on the fairy with the precious magical vagina, Sookie Stackhouse. No clue if Anna Paquin and the rest of the gang will reprise their roles, but thanks to that ridiculous live Sound of Music performance, we know Vampire Bill can carry a tune (and act like an emotionless robot creature, but that's good for this show too).

The TRUE BLOOD MUSICAL could be in workshop as early as next June. To quote Esther, who said this when I announced the news to the io9 team, "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sweet mystery of life at last I've found youuuuuuu!"
