The Nintendo 64 might not have had the massive library of games like the PlayStation did, but it made up for it with quality over quantity. Do you ever really need anything more than GoldenEye and Ocarina of Time? No. And with this N64 emulator on your smartwatch, those games will always be in easy reach.
YouTuber Hacking Jules shows off this latest Android Wear emulator running on an LG-W100. Both The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Super Mario 64 are showed being played using a cramped array of on-screen touch controls. But until you can connect a Bluetooth controller to your smartwatch, these are the sacrifices you’re going to have to make for GoldenEye 007 on the go.
The emulator’s frame rate isn’t quite buttery smooth, but the games are definitely playable—with enough determination. And as Android Wear watches get more powerful, stuttered framerates won’t be an issue for much longer. Now if only they could get multiplayer working, you and your co-workers might eventually look forward to long, boring meetings. [YouTube via SlashGear]
