A 27-inch QHD gaming monitor with a 300Hz Fast IPS panel
The VG27AQM5A is designed primarily for competitive and immersive console and PC gaming. With a 27-inch QHD Fast IPS display and 300Hz refresh rate, it also includes ELMB Sync, a wide color gamut, built-in stereo speakers, and ASUS gaming features like Shadow Boost and GamePlus, all in a TUF Gaming design.
When you’re playing fast-paced games, like those where you track multiple objects while shooting or quickly navigate a small area, a 300Hz refresh rate delivers smoother, less blurry visuals. A 1440p resolution, higher than 1080p, also adds detail while leaving enough room around the edges to move your eyes without turning your head.
When you want a sharp, tear-free image while still seeing motion clearly, ELMB Sync lets you use ASUS’s Extreme Low Motion Blur feature at the same time as a VRR system, such as AMD FreeSync Premium. This keeps video smooth and clear, without ghosting or tearing artifacts. With AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible capabilities, this display helps ensure the frame rate your GPU generates matches the display’s refresh rate on supported PCs.
The Fast IPS panel in this display covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color space, delivering vibrant, accurate colors, and HDR10 support adds depth to games and movies that take advantage of it. A wide 178-degree viewing angle keeps the picture clear from anywhere you sit, and the anti-glare coating greatly reduces reflections off the screen.
ASUS includes AI-driven game enhancement technologies, including Dynamic Shadow Boost and Dynamic Crosshair. Both dynamically adjust based on what’s happening in-game. In addition to these AI enhancements, the VG27AQM5A also includes GamePlus, a set of tools with on-screen crosshairs and timers.
DisplayWidget Center lets you control your monitor’s settings with your mouse. GameVisual lets you select from several preset visual modes for different types of games. Flicker-free technology eliminates eye strain from screen flicker during extended gaming sessions, and low blue light technology is another option for late-night movie watching or gaming.
This monitor connects to your computer via HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 1.4. It also includes two built-in speakers that provide sufficient volume for casual listening, and they’re perfect if you don’t plan to wear a headset for gaming. The ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQM5A 27-inch Monitor is ideal for competitive gamers who want ultra-smooth, detailed performance.
