Archos Android Tablet Holds 250GB HDD, Yet Still Remains Slender

Illustration for article titled Archos Android Tablet Holds 250GB HDD, Yet Still Remains Slender

While the Archos 70 internet tablet is probably lovely, its main selling point—aside from the fact that it runs Android—appears to be that it's thin and light despite containing a 250GB HDD. It's $350 and available now. [Archos]

Look. If you have HD content then there is a 4GB cap on file size for Fat32.

Problem...

If you aren't holding HD content on the drive what do you need 250gb for? Get the 16(8?) Gb super slim version.

Do we have an app like Airplay or something that send HD media to the Android from your PC wirelessly? If we did then we could amp this out to an HD tv or simply watch it.

I think once VLC is released then streaming via a Samba share might work.

OR....does the Archos allow for direct connection to an external NTFS Hard drive?
