While there had been some murmuring that AT&T’s gimped HSUPA upload speeds were getting back to normal, we’ve now got official word that the software fix has been deployed and will roll out over the next two to three weeks.

The software patch is being deployed in areas where the AT&T network is supported by Alcatel-Lucent, according to an AT&T spokesperson. This should come as a big relief to those affected by crippled connections, which according to AT&T accounts for about 2% of all wireless subscribers. We’d known Alcatel-Lucent was at the root of the problem, and that a fix was coming soon, but it’s good to know that we’re just a few weeks away to all systems normal.
