AT&T Wireless’s Ogo Appears

Engadget snagged pics of the new AT&T Wireless OGO messenger from the FCC and it looks a lot like what we’ve been expecting – sort of a cut-rate Sidekick 2, minus all the cellphone parts of the phone. They’re reporting that the Instant Messaging clamshell will be available to AT&T Wireless customers for only $15 a month, and an inside source of ours is reporting that the price should around $100 when it hits the streets before the end of September (treat that as rumor, of course, until we can double up on sources).

Looks like a fun device, and with AIM, MSN, and Yahoo messaging built-in, as well as email and SMS, it could be a very useful little gadget for anybody – not just the kids they are marketing it to. Hopefully the interface is as polished as the Sidekick II, as well.

Update: Super intern Liam found the FCC document itself, filled with many a’picture for your viewing. It’s sort of an ugly little cuss, but I still think it could be a big product for the Death Star.
