On Thursday, the Atlas V rocket successfully carried a new spy satellite into the orbit. The rocket continues a string of nearly 600 successful launches since the roll-out the Atlas program. The payload is a new satellite for the National Reconnaissance Office.

United Launch Alliance successfully launched the Atlas V rocket out of Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida yesterday afternoon. The payload was a new spy satellite, National Reconnaissance Office’s NROL-67. This continues the streak of 100% successful launches since the rocket was introduced in August 2002.
