Kill Jackie
Variety reports AMC+ has acquired the U.S. rights to Kill Jackie, an action series starring and produced by Catherine Zeta-Jones, with plans to air this fall. Based on Nick Harkaway’s novel The Price You Pay, the series follows Jackie Price (Zeta-Jones), “who has spent the last 20 years living a quiet, luxurious existence selling fine art while remaining anonymous after escaping a criminal past. Her carefully constructed world is shattered when she discovers that The Seven Demons, a squad of ruthless assassins, have been hired to kill her. Jackie will need to unleash her old instincts and execute a dangerous plan to take down the Demons.”
Mary Lambert’s Dracula
Deadline also has word Mary Lambert (Pet Semetary) will direct an audio drama at Audible adapting Bram Stoker’s Dracula. The cast includes Jonathan Bailey as Count Dracula, Ella Purnell as Mina, Aimee Lou Wood as Lucy, Louis Partridge as Jonathan, David Jonsson as Dr. Seward, Lesley Manville as Mrs. Westenra, Johnny Flynn as Renfield, Francis Lovehall as Arthur, and Maggie Gyllenhaal as Professor Van Helsing.

Stillwater
Deadline additionally reports a TV series based on Stillwater, the comic book by Chip Zdarsky and Ramón K Pérez, is now in development at Amazon MGM Studios. Developed for the screen by Greg Berlanti and Carly Wray, the “mind-bending horror thriller follows ex-con Daniel West as he receives “a mysterious letter promising answers about his past and a substantial inheritance in the small town of Stillwater.” There, “he discovers a community where nothing ever ages, no one ever dies, and nobody ever gets out.”
