Bang-Olufsen is pushing its new audio/video wunderkind, the BeoCenter 2, which combines CD, DVD, and digital music integration into a scarab-like, brushed metal shell. iPod-esque controls are screened onto in a single plate of anodized aluminum, which splits to reveal the disc drive beneath. Available with an optional BeoCenter television, the BeoCenter 2 can be mounted on the wall, on a shelf (wow!), or on a simple stand. The BeoCenter 2 can also tap into your PC’s digital music collection, via the BeoLink PC 2 software and cable.
You know that a piece of hardware is important when one of the links on the product page is ‘Story.’
No word on price, although its predecessor, the ‘BeoCenter 9300’, retailed for around $3,000.
