Beware of Snow Globes

You've got to hand it to the TSA: when they identify a threat, they do NOT mess around. Know this before you even think about carrying a snow globe through the security checkpoint at LaGuardia.

Okay, to be fair, snow globes do contain liquid and can be used as projectiles and are often just a little garish, you know? So I can agree that they probably don't belong on a plane. But singling them out at the airport feels a little like putting up a No Swedish Toddlers sign at a nightclub. [Laughing Squid]

I guess the likely reason this sign is being ludicrously specific is because people often do not factor in things that are sealed, like snowglobes. They'll sooner consider the things they've filled themselves, or things that have liquids that they actually have access to.
