Ooh, looky, a special edition inMotion! One could be forgiven his or her ignorance in asking what is so special about it, for the differences between this and the non-special-edition inMotion are, well, nil. Nonetheless, it is special by virtue of being black, the absence of color, the optical equivalent of a soul-sucking emotional vortex. Ironically appropriate, I think: the unit is designed to match the blackened nature of the U2-edition iPod, and if you’ve heard U2’s new album, How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, you might be thinking “soul-sucking emotional vortex,” too. $179 at the Apple Store.
