Bluetooth gets better. At least just a little

We all know that Bluetooth’s been struggling lately, and this is unlikely to change the situation much, but an updated version of Bluetooth has just come out. Bluetooth 1.2 is backwards compatible with 1.1, and has a few new features, like adaptive frequency hopping for better dealing with interference from devices using 802.11b (which operates on the same part of the spectrum) and improved sound and data transmission quality. We still think it’s not too late to scrap Bluetooth altogether and start over from scratch. But then again we weren’t invited to the Bluetooth World Congress being held in Amsterdam.
