Bodacious Longboarding Babes Dominate a Downhill

Watch Anna and her friend utterly destroy the Maryhill downhill as part of the Maryhill Freeride 2012. It was likely shot in Maryhill, Washington, though if you have a guess otherwise let us know in the comments. The girls are gorgeous, the scenery is gorgeous, and the ride itself is sublime. Best of all, nobody rivets out and bails. And extra props to the cameraman for filming and skating the course simultaneously. [BoingBoing]

Yes, that's Maryhill. It's rather famous in the Pacific NW for longboarding. I was first in awe of it when I saw a racing video where everyone was in full gear from head to toe. All I could think to myself was "How crazy is this place if you have to wear full gear?" Top speeds are around 50-60 MPH. I think I've hit 30 tops myself. I just never got to the skill level these two (and the camera guy) are at before I stopped doing it all the time. Also, this is what all longboard camera people do! No one uses cars, it's always some guy with a camera. I've seen a couple of videos where people pass the camera back and forth. A lot less refined than skating videos but since longboarding is more about hills, speed, cruising, carving, etc, it's easier to film while actually doing it yourself while still getting in some decent shots.
