The second-generation Bose QuietComfort headphones come with solid performance and design improvements over the original version. These add Bose TrueSpatial tech with multiple audio modes, offer better noise cancellation, and have strong Bluetooth connectivity, too.

The retail price of $359 is the same as its predecessor’s, but a massive 45% discount has dropped this new pair to only $199. That’s less than what you’d pay for quite a few older models on the market. This offer applies to the Dewdrop Mint, Eucalyptus Green, and Hazelnut Taupe versions. Black, Rosewood Mauve, and White are also on sale, going for $219 right now.

New design, better noise cancellation

This pair flaunts an even sleeker design with its all-new pill-shaped earcups and an adjustable sliding headband. The headband is wider and features more synthetic leather than the original version, offering both superior comfort and a secure fit. This makes these headphones especially great for anyone who likes (or needs) to keep them on for hours without any breaks.

Improved noise cancellation is another highlight. The Quiet mode blocks most, if not all, background distractions to help you enjoy an immersive listening experience. Aware mode lets some sounds in to keep you connected to your surroundings while you have your headphones on, and it now also smooths out sudden spikes to keep things comfortable! Some additional audio modes include Immersion and Cinema. Immersion converts standard stereo sound into spatial audio for a more realistic listening experience, while Cinema creates a theatre-like setup with better dialog clarity.

You can switch between modes, power headphones on/off, tweak volume, take calls, and more directly from the earcups without having to reach for your phone. For when you want more control over your audio, the Bose app makes it easy to tweak EQ, plus access all the cool new features.

One full charge takes about three hours and gives you up to 24 hours of listening with ANC enabled, or up to 18 hours with TrueSpatial Immersive Audio. If you don’t have time to plug your headphones in for long, a quick 15-minute top-up gives you an additional 2.5 hours of jamming.

The pair is now discounted by up to 45% on Amazon. Dewdrop Mint, Eucalyptus Green, and Hazelnut Taupe versions are down to $199, while Black, Rosewood Mauve, and White are available for $219. The offer is open to all shoppers, and the retailer is also throwing in free shipping. Grab the deal quickly, though, as it’s marked as a limited-time offer on Amazon.
