It was barely two months ago when Casio released the Exilim EX-S500, and they’re already announcing the EX-Z500… in Japan anyway. We’re not too sure why, since they don’t seem too different from each other. The 5 megapixel EX-Z500 has a 2.7 inch display, 3x optical zoom, 8MB built-in memory, an SD card slot, and only weighs at 112 grams (around 3.95 ounces). It does look different from the EX-S500 as far as appearance goes though: it has a slightly beveled front, and the LCD screen is .5 inch larger. Colors come in silver, gold, and black. No word on price nor availability outside of Japan.
