Chinese Cops Crack Down on Mobile Porn

By

Reading time 1 minute

If you’re a connoisseur of mobile porn and happen to be traveling in China, a word of advice: they don’t take kindly to your smut around those parts. The China Press is reporting that pornographic or even just ‘lewd’ images on mobiles are an infraction, and Chinese police reserve the right to conduct surprise checks on moblile phones users. I don’t know if pornography in general is illegal in China, but it will probably be best to keep it off your phone and on your laptop, where it belongs.

And no, I have no idea what these characters mean, but I bet it’s something vulgar (and Japanese).

Update: So I knew this was a Malaysian paper, but Andy Chong points out it might be a story about Malaysia, too, not China. So Chinese news, with Japanese graphics, in a Malaysian paper, from an American who can’t keep the difference between an egg roll and a T-72 straight. We’re screwed.
