Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol (1971)

This 1971 version of the Charles Dickens classic received an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film and is the only Christmas movie to ever win an Oscar.

Only 26 minutes long, this animated short film brought Scrooge, Tiny Tim, Marley’s ghost, and many others to the screen. Scrooge, a bitter man is given the opportunity for redemption when he is visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future. It is only then that he realizes how valuable it is to have the ones you love in your life.
