Cingular just posted two new smartphones on their website and their names are super catchy, the 8500 and the 8525. They look to be updates of the 8100 and 8125.

The phones have a 2.8" screen, QWERTY, wi-fi, Bluetooth, run Windows Mobile 5 and are claimed to be highly functional for web browsing with their "enhanced" xHTML support. The 8525's big feature over the 8500 is its 2-megapixel camera with flash.

Release by the end of the year, price as it becomes available. Sorry about the munchkin picture - blame Cingular.

DISCUSSION

I have the 8125 but I think I'm going to have to splurge and get the 8525. There really isn't much of a difference between the two other than looks, camera, and the faster processor but that faster processor will definitely come in handy. I was surprised that HTC dropped the slower cpu in the 8125 to begin with.
