You guys know we think video headsets are sort of goofy, so if we give these CNGTek MPEC (that’s ‘Mobile Personal Entertainment Centre’) some minor, passing positivity, don’t read too much into it. I mean, mostly, I’m just impressed that they are actually bundling the glasses with a decent portable media player, which can play back AVI and DIVX instead of just DVDs or something (albeit only from SD cards, which limits your storage capacity a bit). If more portable video players came with video out to begin with, though, you could get away with just buying the glasses.
As for price? They want $650 dollars a pop. I want take a swim in a pool of ham gravy. Who will first reach their dream?
