Another new product from Sony Ericsson: a PC card for laptops that combines GPRS (for accessing data networks over a cellular network) with 802.11b. There’s no way to make a seamless transition between the two different networks yet (though that’s coming), but at least now you can still get access to the Internet, without having to find a WiFi hotspot or a phone line. It’d be great to even see GPRS being built-into laptops, though that seems rather unlikely.
