Nobody does weird, silly dystopian near futures like District 9 director Neill Blomkamp. And this concept art from his new movie Chappie — which we’re premiering exclusively at io9 — makes his world of robots and thugs look like something out of Judge Dredd, or some other 2000 A.D. comic.

This artwork comes from the book Chappie: The Art of the Movie, which comes out March 3 from Titan Books. In addition to these startling pieces of artwork, the book also includes behind-the-scenes photography, and interviews with the cast and crew.
