Check out the first trailer for Vintage Tomorrows, a forthcoming documentary about the steampunk movement. Authors, including Cherie Priest and Cory Doctorow, join enthusiasts to explain just why people are so excited about this one strand of retro-futurism.
Their enthusiasm is pretty contagious. The arguments about nostalgia for a time when we were closer to technology, and the need to understand the past so we can imagine the future, are actually quite compelling.
