Corega is showing off their new jack-of-all-trades media player which looks to be the same OEM rebrand as the DVX-POD. Including a 7″ wide LCD screen and a 20GB hard drive, the “CG-PMPPOD” plays back WMV9, DivX 4/5, Quicktime 6, MP3 and WMA, as well as video and audio out functionality. Corega’s planning on selling the unit for roughly $570 (59,800 yen) direct through their website. So it’s not that it’s new, per se, but that someone else is carrying it, which might be useful to know. Also, I love this player (if you’re going to carry around a huge media player, might as well go for the gold), but the 20GB remains disappointing.
