iAudio doesn’t get much respect, despite making products that have a serious surplus of useful features (even if they are sometimes a bit obtuse to actually use). The X5 is their latest player and like any non-iPod, it’s taking a little while to get up to speed in the reviews world, but it’s scoring pretty well when the magazines finally get around to looking at it. PC World has done just that and given it high, if not perfect marks, calling its controls a “pleasure to use.” The X5’s main unique feature is its ability to play back video, so if you’d like to watch flicks from its 20 or 30GB hard drive on a 1.8-inch screen (not as awful as it sounds, likely), then it might be worth taking a look.
