We’re not talking to China right now

In an interview broadcast on Thursday, President Trump told Fox Business Network that he is upset that the Chinese government undercut his trade deal by somehow causing the coronavirus, which has really fucked him over personally.
“They should have never let this happen,” he told Maria Bartiromo. “So I make a great trade deal, and now I say this doesn’t feel the same to me. The ink was barely dry and the plague came over. And it doesn’t feel the same to me.”
“I just – right now I don’t want to speak to him,” he added, of President Xi Jinping.
He said that cutting ties with China could save the U.S. $500 billion—a claim that’s built on a fundamental misunderstanding of how our trade partnership works.
Bartiromo said there’s evidence that covid-19 came from a lab—scientists say there is “zero evidence” for that claim.
