Dial-A-Cheater is a cheap, if dubious, service that assists you in determining if there is some hanky or (god forbid) panky going on. The premise is that for $1.95, Dial-A-Cheater will somehow spoof the CallerID service, allowing you to send a call to your lover’s cell that displays the number of your suspected rival. That’s sort of where the technology breaks down, though, as steps six through eight detail:
6. Ask your mate who the call they just took was from.
7. Decide how to react.
8. You now know the truth.
It’s sort of (and by sort of, I mean totally) pathetic when a service can make X10 wireless cameras seem like a high-tech solution.
