The DISPY 2 makes for a quick-and-dirty memory card backup solution, writing the contents of your memory cards to CD with no computer required. The DISPY takes nearly every form of memory card, including CF 1 & 2, SD, MMC, miniSD, MemoryStick and MemoryStick DUO. The device possesses an understated style-magnetism, illustrated by the memory cards’ motion blur in the press photo above. Unfortunately, the device doesn’t write to DVDs and I haven’t a clue if you can write from multiple cards simultaneously or anything like that. Naturally, the DISPY 2 is a follow-up to the DISPY 1, which didn’t support nearly as many formats. The device is also USB 2.0 compatible, in case you have a computer nearby, and it’s on sale in Japan now, though no price was available.
