In theory, the Dot Creator is awesome. It lets you make little pixilated animations in the palm of your hand, turning boring car trips into opportunities to create fine, nerdy art.
In practice, however, it leaves a bit to be desired. First of all, couldn’t you have upped the 21×21 resolution just a little bit? And 19 frames isn’t much in the way of animation time, as standard video is 30fps. Furthermore, the memory only holds three animations, and there’s no way to transfer them off the device. Come on, dudes. If you have a good idea you need to follow through and make the product good, too. I’ll wait for Dot Creator 2.0, thanks.
