.dot .dot .dot Bluetooth Display

By

Reading time 1 minute

NYU’s .dot.dot.dot project is developing an app for Bluetooth enabled phones that transfers images to a small, wearable LED screen. Users create an image from red dots on their phone and then broadcast the image to the display for all to see. While the suggestion of wearing the the LED display on a t-shirt or back pack is a little too cybarfuturo for me, I wouldn’t mind seeing .dot.dot.dot applied to something placard-sized. Instant picture or message display on a large scale would be super useful for getting a message across at rallies, or even to that jerk tailgating you for the last ten miles.
