Down and out in Euro Disneyland

This one’s for Cory D.: We’ve been too busy these past few days to write up our reflections on the Mobius Europe 2003 confab we recently attended at Euro Disneyland (yes, we have a professional life outside of Gizmodo), but we couldn’t resist posting this photo of ourselves in front of the Phantom Manor, the European counterpart to the Haunted Mansion. It’s nearly the same as the one at Disneyland USA, except that it has this odd Wild West theme to it, with a Boot Hill cemetery adjacent. There’s really no good reason for it, and it appears as if this was done to make it fit in with the rest of Frontierland. Our suspicion is that the Phantom Manor was shoehorned in there because there aren’t enough other rides in that part of the park, and that there’s no New Orleans Square in Euro Disneyland, the place where the Haunted Mansion is found at Disneyland USA.
