Apartment Therapy had a chance to test “The Ball”—the Dyson DC15 vacuum we first mentioned in March. They have nothing but rave reviews for it, but it should be noted that they only spent an afternoon with it. Still, they say they’ve “never had so much fun using a vacuum.” The unit features a strong suction system, easy-to-see dirt collectory and a hepa filter, among other features. A little light on the details, Apartment Therapy leaves things with a simple “strong recommendation” and a reminder of how well the vacuum maneuvers using its ball. Still, it’s important to keep in mind the fact that the unit’s $600 price tag could easily buy you a teenager to vacuum your floors for at least six months—a real consideration, so long as you get one who isn’t freebasing, or worse, freestyling.
