Purchased at an estate sale of a former dairy owner, According to the son of the owner Elsie the cow was purchased out of a catalog in 1952 and was on display in the dairy. She was also taken to schools and used in parades to promote the dairy and milk. When I purchased her the mechanics did not work but my son got her going again. She chews her cud, moves her head, sways her tail and her sides move in and out.
