We’re still waiting for the “iPod of recorders” — this could be it. M-Audio still hasn’t officially announced the FlashTracker USB recorder, but they’ve now shown it “secretly” at two European trade shows. The recorder is ultra-small, and has USB 2.0, 24-bit/96kHz, and with digital, analog, and mic inputs. Pricing is now expected around EUR 450. There’s reason to believe this unannounced product will go official: M-Audio also showed the iControl GarageBand interface in Europe before releasing in the U.S. this month.
