I don’t care how many ‘Reviewer’s Choice Awards’ it wins, I still think that making force feedback headphones sounds sort of stupid. eDimensional’s AudioFX headset has two vibrating rumblers in each of the ear-cups that vibrate (presumably with the force of a game controller) when low bass sounds come through the channel. It’s not entirely a new idea—I recall a few headsets from Aiwa, among others, that had a ‘bass thumper’ that rested on the neck—but it’s revisited here in a positive review that happens to mention a “persistent hum that was really annoying.”
